On the vast lawn of the Piazza del Duomo in Pisa stands a monumental complex, famous throughout the world, consisting of the Duomo (cathedral), the Baptistery, the Campanile and the Camposanto. These four masterpieces of medieval architecture exerted a great influence on the monumental arts of Italy.
